Ortega Aviation Services

Are you interested in what it takes to become a FAA certificated Private Pilot? Or maybe a curiosity about aerodynamics, weather or flight planning? Whatever it may be Ortega Aviation Services can assisted with your learning process by offering their Private Pilot knowledge experience through a live classroom environment. There are significant advantages to a live course as compared to one online. First is you begin developing important industry relationships with instructors, pilots and aircraft owners. They can be a wealth of information regarding the certification process as well as share their life experiences in aviation. Secondly in a class environment your questions can be answered quickly and thoroughly by your instructor. One more important aspect to Ortega Aviation Services classes is you will have training towards the “oral” portion of your practical flight test. Since the course developer is also a 30 year plus FAA Designated Pilot Examiner he has written questions that more than likely be asked on your flight exam. Along with your instructors guidance you will be more than adequately prepared for your FAA checkride!

Ortega Aviation Services was founded with an emphasis on:

  1. Ground training for pilot certificates and ratings
  2. Flight review and instrument proficiency checks

On a limited basis the classroom can be used without cost to “not for profit” aviation interests such as Type Clubs, Scout Troops and similar groups. A small security deposit may be required.

Ortega Aviation Services customer base includes individuals, as well as groups supported by corporate benefits for ground training. Also, Government entities and flying clubs who wish to see it as an attraction for increased membership. UAS Part 107 classes will be offered for those customers such as small towns and municipalities who may have a need to use drones for civic observation for engineers and first responders. OAS also offers STEM training for school teacher’s who have a desire to teach this course. Teachers will have the opportunity to use a virtual flight simulator to apply what was learned in the classroom. Our flying companion course will also be offered allowing participants a better understanding of how an airplane flies, basic systems integration and ATC communications. Use of the virtual flight simulator will increase their confidence in the actual airplane. OAS will have flight instructor contacts if the flying companion would like flight training in their personal or rental aircraft.
